Mentor Circles™
Mentor Circles are one of the most powerful individual
and organizational learning tools available. They are the
secret to sharing practical wisdom, ensuring continuous
development and building social networks.
Made up of about 6-8 individuals, these groups are designed
to help each member achieve their goals, work through difficulties
and and obtain advice and support. Each Circle meets once
a month for a few hours under the guidance of a Circle facilitator
to share experiences, exchange ideas and provide feedback.
As a result, each person learns new skills, continously
learns and solves day-to-day problems - in just an hour
or so.
Mentor Circles are for those individuals who wish to learn
and grow in a relazed and supportive environment and for
organizations who wish to create communities of practice
and social learning networks.
How Mentor Circles work
Mentor Circles consist of facilitator-lead discussions
with clear gound rules. At every meeting each member has
the opportunity to present a challenge and ask for specific
feedback. These challenges are discussed and each conversation
concludes with action steps to take before the next meeting.
Circle members are matched on the basis of similar experiences
and interests.
This unique process is based on two books: One Circle-Tapping
the Power of Those Who Know you Best and Mission
Possible-Creating a Mission for Work and Life, both
by Maureen Fitzgerald, PhD, a non-practicing lawyer and
Circle expert.
We set up and facilitate Mentor Circles.
